Who We Are

 

Dallas TeleLearning, housed in the R. Jan LeCroy Center for Educational Telecommunications, part of the Dallas County Community College District, has been providing distance learning courses since 1972. Our dynamic content – including video and activities – features some of the most prominent voices in education from colleges and universities around the globe.

 

What We Do

 

The way students learn has drastically changed – no longer is a learning environment narrowly defined as one instructor lecturing to a single classroom. Instead, students can learn anywhere, at any time, with access to the best experts in education. Dallas TeleLearning packages those experts and faculty into comprehensive courses that feature video and online learning activities for students on college campuses, in the workplace and in the home. Our Digital Resource Repository, winner of the DCCCD’s Learning Technology Innovation of the Year award, features abbreviated versions of our traditional videos, sized down to fit into instructors’ online, hybrid or face-to-face lessons.

Dallas TeleLearning is also the founder and operations manager of the Texas Consortium for Educational Telecommunications, a statewide group of post-secondary educational institutions using distance learning and educational technology.
